Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Is there a law for the Post Office to deliver mail to the door for the blind?

A. There is no law for the Post Office to deliver the mail to the door for the blind. However, if you should require this for whatever reason do the following;

1. Get a letter from your doctor stating your disability as well as having your doctor state in the letter where you want your mail delivered meaning the door, lanai etc.

2. Then once you have that letter from your doctor give that letter to your post office .

3. Then your post office will assess it and then get back to you.

Q. How do I know if a company's software works with screen readers?

A. The best thing to do is to contact that company and ask them if their software is compatible with the screen reader Jaws Job Access with speech or window eyes or whatever screen reader you use.
